EyeVibe is the biggest video and chat community on mobile. Here are some FAQs and tips to help you as you navigate round the site. To reach EyeVibe itself, just click on the link on your operator's mobile portal if you are on 3, O2, or T-Mobile. For users on other networks text "VIDEO" to 63320 and a link will be sent to your mobile phone.

What is EyeVibe?

EyeVibe is the video downloads service where YOU provide the videos! It can be accessed by any mobile phone that can view videos.

EyeVibe customers can submit their video clips via MMS to appear on the EyeVibe service where other users can download them for a fee, vote and comment. Participants will earn cash every time their video is downloaded (see terms & conditions).

Do I need to register before I can use EyeVibe?

You don't need to register to browse, download, comment, vote or contribute on clips on EyeVibe. You will be asked to choose a username after submitting a clip and while submitting comments but this is a voluntary feature.

NB. You do need to submit an email address in My Profile to be eligible to receive payment from clips you have submitted.

Are there any data charges?

You will be charged your operator's standard rate for browsing on EyeVibe. If you are a customer of 3, then browsing on EyeVibe is free of charge. Each video costs between 10p and £1.50 to download and this is clearly stated next to the video. If you are not a 3 or O2 customer, you may incur additional data charges when downloading the video, so check your data tariff with your operator.

If you are on 3, O2 or T-Mobile you will be charged your standard MMS tariff when you submit content to 32323. When you submit a video via picture messaging (MMS) to 60300 "clip" you will be charged your standard picture messaging rate plus 25p.

How do I submit a video clip to EyeVibe?

Use your mobile phone to film and submit clips to EyeVibe. If you're on O2, 3, or T-Mobile send the clip in via MMS to 32323 for your standard video message rate (NO KEYWORD IS REQUIRED IN THIS CASE). If you're on any other network send the clip in via MMS to 60300 with the word CLIP in the message. The MMS is charged at your video message standard rate plus 25p.

How long should my clip be?

Clips need to be short - usually 10 to 30 seconds long as they need to be sent via MMS.

What's the maximum file size?

Videos sent by MMS or uploaded direct from your phone should be under 300kb - if they are larger than this your phone may not allow you to send them. Some phones are restricted to under 100kb - in this case keep clips to be under 10 seconds.

I can't send my clip by MMS

Your video clip may be too large, check that your clip is less than 300KB (or about 30 seconds) and try again. Alternatively, your phone may not be set-up to send MMS, in which case you will need to contact your operator.

My video hasn't appeared on the site

First check that your video was successfully sent via MMS.

NB. All videos and information submitted to EyeVibe are moderated before publishing; it may take up to 24 hours before the approved clip appears.

When we receive your video we will send you a text to let you know we received it. Once we have checked it we will decide whether it is suitable for EyeVibe and then we'll send you a text to let you know either way.

Some videos submitted may not meet the content guidelines in our EyeVibe terms & conditions.

How do I add a comment?

You can comment on clips on your phone by clicking 'comments'. If you're new to EyeVibe we'll ask you to choose a username.

Click 'Add comment' and type what you want to say into the text box. Click 'submit comment'. Your comment will be added to the site. Prices vary on the package you choose.

My comment hasn't appeared on the site

All comments will be screened for profanities before they appear on EyeVibe and moderated. Comments will not be published if they breach the EyeVibe terms & conditions or include unsuitable or offensive content such as:

  • Bad language or sexually explicit content
  • Anything abusive, threatening or harassing
  • Anything libellous or defamatory
  • Anything derogatory to groups of people
  • Anything likely to cause contempt of court
Do I need to register before I can earn?

Yes, content contributors will need to submit an email address in the My Profile area in order to be eligible to receive payments.

Why do you need my email address?

You need to register your email address in the My Profile area to receive payments for your clips. Payments are processed using Paypal, and Paypal will use this email address to contact you to arrange payment.

How will I be paid for my clips?

If we publish your content on the service and it is downloaded by users you will be entitled to 10% of the download price (i.e. 3p if the clip is charged at 30p. 5p if the clip is charged at 50p), strictly in accordance with the EyeVibe terms & conditions. Payment will be made via PayPal's MassPay service.

The details and process for payment are set out below.

We may charge other users to download your Content or we may from time to time allow users to download your Content for free. If we charge users to download your content, then each time a user downloads your content from the service we will credit your user account balance with 10% of the download price i.e. 3p if the clip is charged at 30p.

We may from time to time allow users to download your Content for free in order to promote the service, in which case you will either not be paid at all for such use of your content or, at our discretion, we may credit your user account with a fixed amount in return for such use (and you will be informed via your registered email address).

There are several steps required to enable you to be paid, which are set out below:

  1. Firstly, You will need a user account. When we publish your video on EyeVibe, We will set up an account for you using your mobile phone number (which we capture when you send us your video) and the email address you give us. You will then need to validate your account by accessing EyeVibe from your mobile phone.
  2. You need to set up an account with PayPal. If you do not set up an account with PayPal you will not be paid for your Content. If your balance reaches or exceeds £10 we will send your email address to PayPal, who will contact you by email to set up an account. PayPal may charge you an administration fee to set up your account. You are responsible for paying that fee. In addition, PayPal may impose additional terms and conditions on you as the holder of an account with PayPal. You are responsible for complying with those terms and conditions and meeting any associated costs. We are not responsible if you are unable, for whatever reason, to set up an account with PayPal.
  3. Each account will have a user balance of zero when it is first set-up which will increase as people download your content. Each time your account balance reaches or exceeds £10, We will transfer the full amount of your balance and your email address across to PayPal who will arrange payment, provided you have set up an account with them. Once You have been paid, Your user account balance will then reset to zero and begin to accrue again.

As set out in more detail above, your balance will only start accruing and you will only be paid for your Content if the following requirements are met:

  • You have validated your user account
  • You have entered a valid email address. If you don't supply us with a valid email address, or if your email address changes and you don't tell us, then PayPal will not be able to contact you and you will not be paid.
  • You have set up a valid PayPal account.
  • Your user balance will only accrue as a result of a download if We receive revenue from that download.
  • You will only be paid if your user account balance reaches or exceeds £10.
  • You comply with the EyeVibe terms & conditions.

Payment terms are 45 days in arrears from the end of the month to which the payment relates. For example, if your balance reaches £10 during December, you would expect to receive notification from PayPal of payment being available any time after 15th February. Your balance will then reset to zero and will begin to accrue again.

We may at any time withhold payment to you if we suspect that you are artificially inflating the number of downloads of your content, if you have paid for the Service using a stolen, invalid or expired credit or debit card or if we are required to refund a credit or debit card provider in respect of your payment for the services, or if we suspect you are otherwise interfering in any way with your mobile network. If your account is in dispute we reserve the right to withhold payment until the dispute is resolved. Where monies are owed by you to us, We reserve the right to offset such monies against the payments due to you in respect of the Service.

You are responsible for making sure that you pay any income or other taxes you may incur as a result of using the service.

What is My Profile?

My profile is your personalized area on EyeVibe. Here you can change your username and register your email address so that you will be eligible to receive payments from content submissions, track your account, view your videos in My Gallery and edit your profile.

Can I change my username?

Yes, you can change your username by going to My Profile. All information, including usernames, are moderated on EyeVibe to avoid the publication of anything offensive or illegal.

I want to remove a clip

If you are unhappy with any of the video clips on the site, please contact us at customercare@eyevibe.net and we will look into it as quickly as possible. If we find that a clip breaches the EyeVibe rules we will remove it.

I want to remove a comment

If you are unhappy with a particular comment on the site, or would like to remove one of your own comments, please contact us at customercare@eyevibe.net and we will look into it.
